Since beginning in 2002 as a member of grime crew N-Double-A, Narstie has been a constant presence in the UK Grime scene. He has received two Urban Music Awards (UMAs) for Best Grime Act (2012 & 2013), as well as a nomination in 2014, and a MOBO nomination for Best Grime Act in the same year. While continuing to make music and perform, Narstie has been simultaneously garnering a prominent following as an internet personality. Narstie has featured in songs and performed alongside UK Grime icons such as Skepta, Stormzy, JME, Bugzy, Giggs, Flirta D and many more. In the public eye, Narstie is not only celebrated for his contribution to Grime, but for his humour, with appearances on Good Morning Britain, Celebrity Goggle Box, and his popular YouTube show Uncle Pain on GrimeReportTV.
Kevin Legend is the founder and managing director of Dice Recordings. Dice Recordings was founded in 2001, with the intention of bringing Grime music to the masses and to change the perception of the UK’s underground music scene and its musicians. The label has played a significant role in the transformation of the musical landscape in the UK and in doing so, it has contributed to youth Culture in a way that can only be compared to the early days of Hip Hop.
Dice released the first ever Grime compilation album “Life’s A Dice Game” in 2003, which features Grime heavyweights like Skepta, JME, D Double E and Lethal B. In 2006 the label signed Big Narstie who went on to release his first mix-tape ‘I’m Better Than You’ and the track “Brushman” - which was was named RWD magazine’s “Song of the Year”
